The World Cup is scheduled to begin on the 12th of June 2014 and will last until July 13th 2014. The 12 cities are as follows: Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Cuiaba, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manuas, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro. The competition final will be played at the renovated Estádio Mário Filho. This stadium is historic for hosting the only world cup ever held previously in Brazil in 1950.

It will have been 64 years since the last World Cup took place in Brazil. The hosts were beaten in the final by South American rivals Uruguay.
